Can't keep a good city down!

Monday, April 27, 2020 It's JazzFest season in a time of social isolation. No JazzFest? No way! Welcome to the year of FauxFest, when WWOZ Radio and takeout from favorite restaurants keep the spirit alive! In the church, we're trying to figure out a way around this social isolation thing so we can be together again. It's going to be awhile, but we're working on it. After the rain...

Video from Friday, April 24, 2020. It rained on Thursday. We had thunder and lightning. It could have been a lot worse and was, indeed, worse in other places. But with the new morning on Friday, the sun came out, the breeze was cool, and the Easter lilies were blooming in the memorial garden. They are a reminder that after grief, there is new life. Come visit with me in my garden on this new morning. https://youtu.be/7BFWPlZLtJ8

Welcome!

Welcome to my new blog, The New Life in New Orleans! On Earth Day 2020, fifty years after the first Earth Day, in a time of coronavirus, I am starting a new blog. (My friend Terry encouraged me to do this, so credit to you, Terry.) My initial concept for the blog is that it will focus on creation from a spiritual perspective. Times are changing. Now people are blogging with videos. So this blog will have a combination of written words and videos. Like this one. https://youtu.be/dYHqh1W0Gqo Rich Tatum is videographer.
